Ann Chamberlain Joins Virginia Natural Gas July 31, 2002
Ann Chamberlain has joined Virginia Natural Gas as director rates and regulation. A 24-year veteran in the energy utility business, Chamberlain returns to VNG after a three-year leave.
“Ann’s previous gas supply and rates experience at VNG will be a valuable asset to the company,” said Hank Linginfelter, Virginia Natural Gas president.
Chamberlain joined Virginia Power in 1975 as an engineering technician in its gas procurement group. When Virginia Natural Gas became a separate division of Virginia Power in 1982 she became supervisor of gas supply engineering and planning. Over the next ten years, she received a series of promotions culminating in her appointment as vice president rates, gas supply and corporate budgeting in 1993.
A native of southwestern Virginia, Chamberlain holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She also holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Richmond and a master’s degree in industrial engineering and operations research from Virginia Polytechnic and State University. She is a graduate of the Public Utility Executive Program at the University of Michigan.
